What is Talk Notes?
TalkNotes is an entirely new way of documenting your patient's visits. Now, instead go dictating into a tape recorder, sending off that tape to a transcription service, and waiting days, if not weeks, to receive your reports, you can harness the power of your computer to provide you with instant transcription. Have a progress report or H&P ready in minutes, not days.
Features and Benefits

1. Interfaces with most practice management systems, reducing time to "set up" new patients.
2. Transcribes with integrated voice recognition, or you may type.
3. Accurate. We load specialty specific vocabularies and a medical grammar.
4. Electronically fax a carbon copy of dictated notes to a referring physician or colleague automatically.
5. Associates files from any other system with a chart in TalkNotes©.
6. Allows you to defer editing until a more convenient time
7. Utilizes OVR (Original Voice Recall), a ProVox exclusive, which saves a digital recording of the speaker's voice to reference if needed during editing.
8. Uses dictation devices such as a noise-reduction headset. Other wireless options are in development and will be compatible with the current system.
9. Uses "ActiveNotes" to allow previously dictated material to be imported electronically into new notes.
10. Allows for multiple users per workstation.
11. Allows quick electronic retrieval of notes based on a variety of search criteria.

The POWER of an electronic medical chart (EMC)

1. Search - retrieve documents using key word or other search criteria, then print or fax directly.
2. Output - the patient's chart can be displayed as individual documents or as a single, running chart.
3. "ActiveNotes" - note templates can be designed to transfer data from previous visits to help complete documents more quickly.
4. Charge codes - ICD-9, CPT and other user-defined codes can be linked to any document or visit. In some cases, these can be passed back to the practice management system.
5. Association - documents outside TalkNotes© can be linked to the chart.
